James Roy Boatwright, 79, died Aug. 2, 2004, at Poplar Bluff Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
He was born Aug. 6, 1924, in Mill Spring, Missouri, son of the late James and Dorothy (Hassell) Boatwright.
He was united in marriage to Anna Cargonia, and she preceded him in death. Mr. Boatwright worked as a maintenance supervisor for Century Electric, and later, for Deaconess Hospital. He attended James Hill Church.
He is survived by one son, Robert L. Boatwright, St. Louis; one daughter, Betty Ann Brutcher, Dittmer; one brother, Don Boatwright, Imperial; one sister, Lucille Yates, Mill Spring; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Aug. 5 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Elmo Parker officiating.
Pallbearers were David Boatwright, Dennis Boatwright, Mark Holzhauer, Jake Thomas, Randy Payne, Bob Yates and Ben Butler. Burial was in Carson Hill Cemetery, Mill Spring.

Notes for FRANCES LUCILLE BOATWRIGHT:
Frances Lucille Yates, 85, of Arnold, Mo., and rural Wayne County, passed away at her home in Arnold on March 31, 2014. Lucille was born in Mill Spring on April 7, 1928.
On March 28, 1947 Lucille was united in marriage to Lloyd Yates and to this union one daughter was born.
Lucille was of the Baptist faith. She was converted in either 1941 or 1942 by Bro Handy. She joined the Canaan Baptist Church, aka Mattess Baptist Church in 1959. Lucille spent her childhood in the Mill Spring area and graduated from Piedmont High School.
Most of her adult life was spent in the Arnold area. She worked at several jobs including, Missouri Pacific Train Depot in Kimmswick, Pigeon Pottery in Barnhart, GM Fisher Body in St. Louis, Johnson, Shingle Shoe Company on Forest Park Ave and Arnold United Missouri Bank in Arnold.
Lucille enjoyed traveling, camping and riding her bicycle. She had a large collection of dog figurines. She loved her many West Highland White Terriers, and she loved rock hunting and collecting.
Surviving Lucille is her husband, Lloyd, one daughter; Sharon Holzhauer and her husband Mark of St Louis, one brother; Donald Boatwright and his wife Pat of Arnold, one grandchild, Benjamin Butler and his wife Lura, three great-grandchildren, Mitchel, Matthew, and Marshall.
Preceding her in death were her parents; James Boatwright and Dorothy Hassell Boatwright, and one brother; Roy Boatwright.
The visitation for Lucille was held on Wednesday, April 2nd at 5:30 p.m. at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont. The service followed on Thursday the 3rd at 11:00 a.m. also at the chapel with burial at Carson Hill Cemetery in Mill Spring, MO. Bro. Bob Smith ministered to the family. Ben Butler, Mark Holzhauer, Gilbert Yates, Gilbert Yates, Jr., Burton Yates, and Bill Brutcher served as pallbearers.

Donald Lee “Don” Boatwright, 79, of Imperial died Oct. 16, 2014, in Imperial.
Mr. Boatwright was a private airplane pilot, heavy equipment operator, master
carpenter, fisherman, and was retired from Ace Hardware. He was a member of
the First Baptist Church of Arnold. Born Dec. 9, 1934, in Mill Spring, he was
the son of the late James J. and Dorothy D. (Hassell) Boatwright.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia L. Boatwright; a son: David (Sandy) Boatwright of Troy, Ill.; two daughters: Donna (Joseph) Castellano of Venice, Fla., and Toni (Jim) Janushanis of Barnhart; five grandchildren: Kailey Boatwright, Matt, Nick and Gene Janushanis and Jen (Tim) Mullin; and three great-grandchildren: Garrett, Carson and Paxton Mullin.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Roy Boatwright; and a sister: Lucille Yates.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at the First Baptist Church, 2012 Missouri State Road, in Arnold, officiated by the Rev. Kenny Qualls. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice or the Focus on Missions Eyeglass Ministry, 4413 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold 63010. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
