Thomas W. Boatwright Gravestone

Children's names were taken from the book "Boatwright and Allied familes" by William E. Boatwright from the FHL 929.273 B63 bw. In another book W.W. Sellers' "History of Marion County" transcribed and contributed to Marion County SC Gen Web by Helen Moody, March 2000 she states that under the name of "Boatwright" that William C. Foxworth had a sister who was the wife of Thomas W. Boatwright, a most excellent, good woman, who had two daughters. One married Frank Dill in Wahee (this was Laura J. Boatwright) and the other daughter married the Hon. S. Whiteford Smith of Mullins, SC.(Ellen A. Boatwright) on 3 Dec 1874 in Marion. A copy of the marriage certificate listed S.W. Smith and Ella A. Boatwright both of Marion county, SC were married on December 3, 1874 at the residence of T.W. Boatwright by Rev. W.W. Jones.
